Accredited Investor
In order to qualify as an accredited investor, individuals must meet one of the following criteria:
FINANCIAL CRITERIA:
- Net worth over $1 million, excluding primary residence (individually or with spouse/partner)
- Income over $200,000 (individually) in each of the prior two years and expects the same for the current year
- Income over $300,000 (with spouse/partner) in each of the prior two years and expects the same for the current year
PROFESSIONAL CRITERIA:
- Investment professionals in good standing holding the general securities representative license (Series 7), the investment adviser representative license (Series 65), or the private securities offerings representative license (Series 82)
Qualified Purchaser
In order to qualify as a qualified purchaser, individuals or entities must meet one of the following criteria:
- Individual investors: Have $5 million or more in investments
- Family, trust, or estate planning entity: Have $5 million or more in investments
- Institutional investors: Have $25 million or more in investments
- Qualified institutional buyers: Have $100 million or more in investments
